Garden Center Retail Sales Associate – Flower Nerds Needed!
Required availability through May 31
If your passion is plants, we’ve got a sweet gig for you. Work with a FUN team in a wonderful, semi-outdoor environment helping people select and care for beautiful flowers. Plus, get a 20% employee discount on the plants you’d love to add to your collection at home! Work 2-5 days per week (16-40) hours, with the potential to stay on through later seasons on the farm. Plant care, watering, planting and restocking to be performed in between customer service.
This position is well suited for people who like sunshine, staying busy, working outside, enjoy movement, plants and helping others. If you’re creative and good at designing and arranging container gardens, even better.
Candidates Should Demonstrate:
- An enthusiasm and passion for all things flowers! We are proud flower nerds!
- The ability to talk to customers about plants and share your experience: What flowers are best for sun/shade and what flowers work well with others in a container, etc.
- A basic knowledge of plant care, water and nutritional needs.
- The ability to keep up in a fun and fast-paced work environment
- A positive, outgoing personality
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 days a week availability through May 31.
- Ability to consistently stand or walk on gravel or concrete
- Ability to efficiently perform tasks and be attentive to detail while multitasking
- Physical requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, significant walking, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs., reaching, stretching and repetitive movements.
