Come join our Bakery Production team and enjoy working in a beautiful, bright, open environment!

Our team is positive and enjoys working together to accomplish big goals. Work 2-5 days each week, experience preferred, but not necessary. Day and afternoon shifts available.

We’re hiring bakers & aspiring bakers to help us produce thousands of pies, cookies, quick breads, and more! Some experience working in a commercial kitchen or cafeteria setting is a plus.

Hours are somewhat flexible, with several shifts starting around 8 or 9am plus possibly an afternoon shift. Candidates must demonstrate attentiveness to detail (please include the word ‘excited’ in your application.) Candidates should also be at least 18 years of age and must be able to lift and maneuver 40 pounds.

Position Summary

The Operations Team member position works year around, 5 days a week on our beautiful farm in Loveland Ohio to help us create a Family Farm experience, bringing connection through beauty, flavor and fun!  This position enjoys newer equipment and facilities.  We often operate in a very dynamic work week with the job responsibilities sometimes changing from week to week or season to season.  An average day will vary but could include; installing new greenhouse poly, pre-treating for greenhouse or parking lot weeds, repairing a waterline, installing a fence, building a new photo opt or attraction for guests, building a creative new retail display, running a new electric or data circuit, grading gravel roads, running errands, driving hayride, setting up tents, servicing equipment, lawncare & more.  

Major Responsibilities 

  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work directly with our Operations Manager to build, expand, fix and maintain our facilities, equipment, displays and attractions. 
    • Preparing for upcoming seasons – set up attractions, service greenhouses and facilities.
    • Regular equipment servicing of 10+ tractors, mowers and other equipment
    • Designing and building new photo opts and displays for the retail team
    • Support to contractors as facility infrastructure is upgraded
      • Running utilities – electric, water, data
    • Erecting tents, assembling stages.
    • Errands for supplies and fresh produce as needed
  • Keep our tools, supplies & and facilities organized
  • Drive Hayrides, Bee Train & Support our high traffic events
  • Exercise attention to detail
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Have experience working on a farm or similar setting
  • Proficient operating an agricultural tractor (45 – 100 horsepower)
  • Experienced pulling, backing and maneuvering a trailer. 
  • Comfortable driving or learning to safely drive a forklift
  • Willingness to work in an outdoor setting regardless of seasonal weather conditions.

Ideal Candidate

In summary, the ideal candidate is a professional, self motivated, family oriented, team player who recognizes the benefits to working outside in a farm environment.  This person is a creative problem solver who enjoys being physically active in an organized work environment, and is up for fresh challenges as they pop up.  This position enjoys 2 days off each week, but during peak seasons these days may not fall on weekends.    

Desired Skills

  • Proficient with tools, power tools, woodworking etc
  • Some experience in one or more of the following
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Mechanical repair, vehicle or equipment 
  • At least one year of experience in a professional setting.
  • Ability to track several projects going on simultaneously. 
  • Demonstrate a passion for Blooms & Berries Farm Market.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 40 pounds
  • Comfortably and safely operate full sized pickup trucks and trailers 20-30’ in length.
